Definition:A solid or liquid synthetic organic polymer used as the basis of plastics, adhesives, varnishes, or other products.
Properties:Good electrical insulation, heat resistance and chemical resistance. Glass fiber-reinforced versions offer rigidity. Excellent in a variety of properties including heat and cold resistance, electrical insulation, flame-retardancy, adhesion, oil and solvent resistance, water repellency and ecological adaptability.
Classification:Resins are divided into three major classes, namely:
Acid resins
Ester resins
Resin alcohols
