Resistance is that property of a conductor which obstructs the flow of charges. It measured in Ohm(Ω).

•Resistance depends upon the following factors:

1️⃣Length of the conductor:

Resistance of a conductor is directly proportional to it's length.

2️⃣Area of cross section:

Resistance of a conductor is inversely proportional to it's area of cross section. Thinner wire has more resistance in comparison with thick wire as it has less electrons to carry. If you double the area of cross section,the resistance is halved and vice versa,

3️⃣ Resistance also depends upon temperature and nature of the material(conductor).

From (1)and(2),

R=pL/A,where 'p' is a constant

From ohm's law,

R=V/I
