A resource is a source or supply from the nature  from which a benefit to the mankind is produced.Also it has some utility or some use.

Resources ca be classified into 2 types:-

1) Renewable or Non-Conventional Resources:-These type of resources have ample amount of reserves in earth.They don't cause any type of pollution to the environment.Examples are solar, wind,tidal,hydroelectric,etc.

2) Non-Renewable or Conventional Resources:-These type of resources have limited amount of reserves in earth.They cause pollution when they are used.Examples coal,crude oil,etc.

(b) On the basis of exhaustibility – renewable and non-renewable
