On the basis of exhaustibility: Renewable and Non-renewable
On the basis of ownership: Individual, community, national and international
On the basis of status of development: Potential, Developed, Stock and Reserves

All those goods and objects that are available naturally on our earth are known as resources. land, air, water, forest and soil are some of the examples of resources. Resources can be divided into two parts; Renewable resources and Non Renewable resources.

Renewable resources; are those resources that can be refreshed or renewed naturally during the course of time such as air, soil energy and water

Non Renewable resources: these are those resources that cannot be renewed over time such as petroleum, coal etc.
