A ring topology is the network where the Devices are connected to each other in such a way that they make a close loop. Each node is connected 2 other nodes on either side.

Advantages:

1. Network server is not needed to control let’s work connectivity between each node.

2. Data can transfer between nodes at high speed.

3. Additional nodes can be added without impacting the performance of the network.

Disadvantages :-

1. All data being transferred over the network must pass through each node on the network, which can make it slower than a star topology.

2. The entire network will be impacted if one node shuts down.
