it is a gland which secrets saliva in the mouth.

Anonymous: salivary gland is an exocrine gland present outdide the buccal cavity and secretes saliva inside the buccal cavity. it has 3 pairs of gland 1) the parotid gland - it is the located at cheeks .it is the largest salivary gland 2)submaxillary -it is the gland located located at angle of lower jaws 3)sublingual -it is the gland present below the tongue

2. These glands releases saliva which helps in dilution and digestion of food in mouth.
