Sampling

Explanation:

When some items that represent the population are selected and then the data is collected from these and further it is used for the analysis, this particular method is known as the Sampling Method.

Types:-

1) Random Sampling

This is a method in which there is a fair chance for everything in the universe for getting selected.

1.1) Restricted Random Sampling

It is a simple method in which there is a fair chance for everything in the universe for getting selected.

a) Stratified Random Sampling

In this method, everything is divided into groups called 'Strata' and then certain items are selected from the group's themself.

b) Systemic Sampling

In this method, a sample is taken by selected by n^{th} term of an item from the list.

c) Cluster Sampling

In this method, the total population is divided into some sub-divisions known as 'Clusters'. Given the number of clusters is chosen at random and then all items are covered by the selected clusters.

1.2) Non-Random Sampling

there is no fair chance for a sample to be selected it is dependant on the judgment of the Investigator.

a) Judgment Sampling

In this method, the chance of an item getting selected depends only upon the judgment of the Investigator.

b) Quota Sampling

In this, the items are subdivided into several groups and then Quota is fixed. But in this also selection depends upon the personal judgment of the investigator.

c)Convenience Sampling

In this, the investigator gives special attention while selecting sample units from the population
