Saprophytic Nutrition is that nutrition in which an organisms obtain it's food from decaying organic matter of dead plants,dead animals and rotten bread etc.

Sapro means rotten so, a Saprotrophic organism draws its food from rotting wood of dead and decaying trees, rotten leaves,dead animals and house holds waste like rotten bread, etc.

The organism have Saprotrophic mode of nutrition are called saprophytes.

We can say that Saprophytes are the organism which obtain their food from dead and decaying substance , animals bodies and other decaying organic matter..
