There are several physical quantities.
On basis of direction and magnitude ,They are classified in to two types:-
•SCALAR QUANTITY
-->The physical quantities having only magnitude but no direction is called Scalar physical quantities.
--->It is Represented by Bold letters like A,B
-->Example::--Mass , Length, distance, speed it has only magnitude but no direction so it is a scalar physical quantity.
•VECTOR QUANTITY
-->The physical having both direction and magnitude is called Vector physical quantities.
-->It is represented by a or a with a line segment with a arrow on the letter like -->
-->Example::--Velocity,acceleration,Displacement is example of vector physical quantities which have both magnitude and direction.
