A scalar product of two vectors is defined as-

 \vec{a} \cdot \vec{b} = |\vec{a}||\vec{b}|\cos{\theta}

where, \vec{a} and \vec{b} are two non-zero vectors having the angle \theta between them.

Two characteristics of dot product-
1. The dot product of two vectors is always a scalar.
2. The dot product of two vectors perpendicular to each other is always zero.
