Answer:

Explanation:

Sexual reproduction involves the two sexes namely male and female. The male Sexual unit is known as male gamate, while the female sexual units is known as female gamete. The formation of gametes and their fusion constitute sexual reproduction. The male gametes is smaller and more active than the female gamete. The female gamete is larger, filled with reserve food and remains passive.

The cell formed after the fusion of the male and female gamete is called zygote. The zygote divides repeatedly to form a new individual. Although sexual reproduction also occurs in unicellular organisms like algae and Paramoecium, it is most common in multicellular organisms.

More About this topic :-

Males and Females both have 23 types of pairs of chromosomes or genes and out of those only 1 makes a sexual difference. That is pair no. 23.

X and Y chromosomes :-

The X chromosome is bigger and also it has more genes compared to Y chromosome.

The Y chromosome is small and it contains less genes .

Genetically, Females have 2 X chromosomes, So fertilisation make ½ of the population male and other ½ female.
