◇ Locomotion : The skeleton serves as a basic attachment of muscles.

◇ Storage : The skeleton serves as a store house of minerals such as calcium and phosphorus.

◇ Formation of Blood cells : The bone marrow of long bones forms red blood cells and white blood cells.
