Smelting is a process which is used to obtain pure metal from ores without impurities and calcination is a process in which ore is heated in the absence of oxygen to remove metal from ores

▶Calcination:- it is the process of converting a ore into it's oxide by heating it strongly, below it's melting point either in a limited supply or in a absence of air.
