Define Snell's law of refraction. A ray of light is incident on a glass slab at an angle of incidence of
angle of refraction be 32.7°, calculate the refractive index of glass. (Given : sin 60% = 0.866, and sin 32
0.540)

Answer:

snells law :the ratio of sine of angle of incidence to the sine of angle of refraction is a constant for a light of given colour and for a given pair of media

by the equation of sin i(incident)divided by sin r (refraction)

so we should Divide sin60/sin32

0.866/0.540 = 1.6 may be the answer

Good morning mates❤️

Your answer is given below:-

SNELL'S LAW:-

Ratio of Sine of angle of Incident to the sine of angle of Refraction is constant or the pair of media in contact. This constant is written as 'n2. It represents the Refractive Index of medium (2) with respect to medium (1). This is also called Snell's Law.

Refractive \: index \: of \: glass = \: \frac{sin \: i}{sin \: r} \\ \\ = > \: \frac{sin \: {60}^{0}}{sin \: {32.7}^{0} } \\ \\ = > \frac \: {0.866}{0.540} \\ \\ therefore \: refractive \: index \: of \: glass \: is \: \: 1.6
