Social media networking sites are also referred to as 'friend-of-a-friend' sites, where we make new friends through our existing friends. However, we need to take certain precautions while social networking.

• Use strong password and never share them with anyone.
• Do not post personal information, such as our address or daily schedule.
• Be wary of strangers online. There are changes they may pretend to be someone they are not.
• Do not believe everything we see and read online. It is important to authenticate information before acting upon it.
• Do not agree to meet strangers we meet online, in person.
