Software is made up of programming language(High programming language like C++, Java, Python etc.)
Mainly there are 2 types of software:
Application Software
Operating System Software
Application Software are those software which you use for general purposes like typing document, playing audio or video file, playing games, browser etc. It carries out necessary operations for a specific application.
Operating System Software are those software which are part of Windows or OS files, they control the internal operations of computer like managing files and folder space names or organizing the files by name or data, communicating with specific device's driver or software etc.
