Sound is the compression and rarefaction of particles as they come closer and then move away from each other. Sound is produced from vibrations. The speed of sound in air is 300m/seconds.

¤ SOUND :-IN PHYSICS SOUND IS A VIBRATION THAT PROPOGATES AN WAVE OF PRESSURE IN AIR,
SOLID, GAS, LIQUID. SOUND DO NOT TRAVEL IN VACUUM.

¤ WHEN THERE IS VIBRATION THERE IS PRODUCTION OF SOUND.

¤ THE SPEED OF SOUND IS DIFFERENT IN DIFFERENT MODES.

¤ SPEED OF SOUND IS 343 m/s IN DRY AIR AT 20 DEGREE CELCIUS.

¤ THE FORMULA TO MEASURE SPEED OF SOUND IS DISTANCE TAKEN BY SOUND TO TRAVEL /TIME
TAKEN TO TRAVEL.

HOPE SO THIS HELPS U
IF ANY QUERY PLZ INFORM ME ABOUT THIS IN INBOX.
