The amount of heat required to raise the temperature of 1 kg of the gas by 1 K if the volume of the gas remains constant i.e specific heat of gas

In raising the temperature of unit mass of agas through 1°C the required quantitiy of heat when it's volume is constant is called Specific Heat.
