Speed !!

Distance travelled by the particle in unit time interval is known as speed.

The rate of change of any object with respect to time is also called Speed .

Speed =  \frac{Distance}{Time}

SI unit → m/s or cm/s.

Speed is a Scalar Quantity because it has only magnitude.. It's directionless.

Velocity !!

The velocity is the speed of an object moving in a definite Direction.

Velocity =  \frac{Displacement}{Time \: taken}

SI unit → m/s.

It's a vector Quantity because it has magnitude as well as direction.
