The square of a number is the product of the number with the number itself for a given number x , the square of x is ( x × x) denoted by x^2.

Example - 4^2 = 4 × 4 = 16 and 16 is called the square of 4 .

SQUARE ROOT :-

The square root of a number x is that number which when multiplied by itself gives x as always the product .

We denote the square root of a number x by √x

Ex - √4 = 2
