stock and scion are used in grafting. If u know about grafting then stock is used as the lower part of the desired plant.It is usually wild in nature so as to provide maximum support n resistivness to the whole plant.

Scion is the upper part of the desired plant which will actually contain the desired fruits flowers etc. It is not wild in nature.

Hola mates

Stock. A root system into which a scoin or a bud is grafted is called a stock. Stock is selected for it's adaptability , resistance to diseases etc.

Scoin a piece of young stem or bud which is inserted into a root stock is called scoin .Scoin is selected for good qualitity of fruits, flowers resistance to diseases etc.
