Stress is your body's way of responding to any kind of demand. It can be caused by both good and bad experiences. When people feel stressed by something going on around them, their bodies react by releasing chemicals into the blood.

Strain (chemistry), a chemical stress of a molecule. Strain (injury), an injury to a muscle (tear in tendon) in which the muscle fibers tear as a result of over-stretching. Strain (mechanics), a geometrical measure of deformation representing the relative displacement between particles in a material body.

Strain is the response of a system to an applied stress. When a material is loaded with a force, it produces a stress, which then causes a material to deform. Engineering strain is definedas the amount of deformation in the direction of the applied force divided by the initial length of the material
