Stress Is Force per unit area to any solids

Strain is the ratio of Changed Dimensions to the Original Dimensions

Commonly you can say that Stress is Force and strain is the effect of Force and Stress and pressure are once itself just pressure for Fluids [ liquids , gases] and stress for solids

Stress and strain both are of 3 types :

1. Longitudinal stress and longitudinal strain

2. shear or tangential stress and shear strain

3. Bulk or Volumetric Stress and bulk strain
