Acid solutions contain hydrogen ions. The higher the concentration of the hydrogen ions, the lower the pH. Hydrochloric acid is a strong acid and ethanoic acid is a weak acid.

Strong acids are those acids which completely dissociate or Ionize in an aqueous solution.
Weak acids are those acids that partially ionize or dissociate in an aqueous solution.
STRONG ACIDS:-
Hydrochloric acid, Nitric acid.
2HCl + 2Na -----› 2NaCl + H2
2HNO3 + 2Na ------› 2NaNO3 + H2
WEAK ACIDS:-
acetic acid, Hydrofluoric acid
2CH3COOH + 2Na --------› CH3COONa + H2
2HF + 2Na ---------› 2NaF + H2
(As per your question, we have to write reaction of acid with metal so, I have taken Na-sodium but you can also take metals like magnesium and potassium.)
Thanks.
Hope this helps you.
