Heya!!!
Here's ur answer

Diamond is organised in a giant lattice structure with strong covalent bonds between carbon atoms. Each carbon atom forms 4 bonds. Explanation: Each carbon atom has four electrons in its outer shell, all of which form covalent bonds which are strong and hard to break.

Hope it helps:)

In a diamond each carbon atom is Covalently bonded to four other carbon atom along four corners of a regular tetrahedron. This pattern extends in 3 dimensions leading to Octahedrous structure. This makes the diamond hardest natural substance known with density 3.5gm/cm^3.
