Symbiosis is the interaction between two different organisms. These organisms live in a close physical association. In the case of symbiosis, both the organisms are benefitted.

This type of interaction provides an advantage to both the partners. The common example of symbiosis is the Rhizobium bacterium and the leguminous plants. The bacterium fixes nitrogen for the plants. The plant provides food and shelter to the bacterium.
