Answer:

A symbiotic relationship is a relationship between two organisms where both of them depend upon each other for shelter , food and other things necessary for conducting life processes . Two organisms which are in such a mutual relationship are said to do symbiosis . A very good example of a symbiotic relationship is between plants and a nitrogen fixating bacteria called rhizobium . Plants ( especially legumes ) aren't capable of absorbing nitrogen from the soil , like they absorb other minerals . But to make proteins plants need nitrogen. So , for this nitrogen , plants depend upon a bacteria called Rhizobium( There are many more such nitrogen fixating bacterias , we are just taking rhizobium as an example ) , which absorbs nitrogen from the atmosphere and soil , converts it into an usable form so as the plants can utilize them . Rhizobium which can't produce their own food and doesn't have their own shelter depend upon the plants for both of them I.e. food and shelter . Hence this relationship where a plant provides food and shelter to rhizobium and where rhizobium in turn supplies the plant with nitrogen is a great example of a symbiotic relationship .
