Sympathy: Sympathy is a feeling of pity and showing respect to someone for a reason.
Empathy: Understanding one another's feelings, emotions and thoughts.
Compassion: Something that we love or have passion for, willing to make it better.

AngadStrafeZ: Compassion: Empathy and pity for contemplating a feeling*
ItzTacoTimee: Compassion is wrong, ah I see you corrected it.
AngadStrafeZ: yeah, thats what I thought then, contemplating the situation.

Sympathy is the understanding of someone’s feelings when they are going through something sad, have had misfortune etc.

Empathy is close to that, although empathy is the general ability to understand the feelings of another.

Compassion is sympathetic pity for when someone is going through something sad or misfortunes, this is almost the same as sympathy.
