Cell is the basic functional and structural unit of a living organism including plants and animals.

There are several different cell organelles which are present in the cytoplasm. They are mitochondria, Golgi body, Endoplasmic reticullum, Chloroplast, Vacoule, Centrioles, Ribosomes, etc.

None of the cell organelle is called the basic functional and structural unit as they are present in the cell's cytoplasm so they do not make up the body of the organism directly.
