TERRAIN : Terrain is the term for an area of land. Terrain may include, flat plains, mountains, forests.

PENINSULA : A peninsula is a piece of land that is almost entirely surrounded by water but is connected to the mainland on one side. Peninsulas can be very small, sometimes only large enough for a single lighthouse, for instance.

GLACIERS : A glacier is a large, perennial accumulation of crystalline ice, snow, rock, sediment, and often liquid water that originates on land and moves down slope under the influence of its own weight and gravity.
