Dicotyledon plants are those plants which have two cotyledons eg gram, while monocotyledon plants are those which have only one cotyledon eg wheat or maize .

Now dicot stem have proper endarch condition..

1) The outermost layer of the stem is epidermis which consists of trichome ( multicellular hairs like structure) it covered with cuticle layer (to reduce transpiration) and it also consists of stomata(photosynthesis). It is made up of parenchymatous tissues.

2) Then comes cortex which is divided into 3 parts : Hypodermis, Cortex and Endodermis

a) Hypodermis it is present only in stem, made up of collenchymatous tissues to provide mechanical support to the stem (in monocots it is mafe up of sclerenchyma).

b) Cortex made up of parenchymatous tissues, stores food, provide strength, presence of Intercellular space ease the transportation of air for their respiration process.

c) Endodermis inner layer, rich in starch grains (starch sheath), single layer sometimes double to multiple layers, encloses stele.

3) Pericycle present between phloem and Endodermis, made up of sclerenchyma, not much work in stem (roots helps in secondry growth)

4) Vascular Bundle ie. Xylem and Phloem

Endarch condition ie. metaxylem ( formed late and bigger in size) Iies towards the periphery and protoxylem (formed early and small in size) Iies towards the pith.

Conjoint type of vascular bundle ie. phloem on the top of xylem and in between them there is the presence of Cambium... so also known as open type of vascular bundle (cause they undergo secondry growth). Also they are arranged in ring but in monocots they are scattered so it is an identification of dicot stem.

5 Pith made up of parenchymatous tissues not much work and lies inside(central part) the stele.

Hope my answer satisfied your question ...
