The forest was divided in 3 part by the act of 1878.

1) Reserved Forest

2) Protected Forest

3) Village Forest .

Reserved Forest have good resource of everything.

Villager are not allowed to take anything from Reserved Forest but they can use the resource of other 2 Forest.

The features of the Forest Act 1865 are as follow...

1)1878 Act divided the forest into three categories - reserved, protected and village forest.

2) Reserved forest were called as a best forest.

3) Villagers were not allowed to take anything form the reserved forest , either for personal and commercial use. They were allowed to take the wood from the village and protected forest for house building or fuel.

After it's enactment , the forest act , 1865 was amended twice- once in 1887 and again in 1927...................
