⭐ AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT IS A CLOSED-CONDUCTING PATH THROUGH WHICH EPECTRIC CURRENT PASSES WHICH IN TURN ORIGINATES FROM ELECTRIC CHARGES.

⭐ AN ELECTRIC CIRCUIT IS OF TWO TYPES :

1) CLOSED CIRCUIT : It is the electric circuit when switch is "ON" and hence the current flows through the circuit.

2) OPEN CIRCUIT : It is the electric circuit when switch is ''OFF" and hence the current cannot flow the circuit.

Now, in the above picture, if the electric circuit really works, then it is termed as "CLOSED CIRCUIT".

And if the electric circuit doesn't work, or electric current doesnt flow through it, then it is termed as "OPEN CIRCUIT''.
