Let P and Q be two vectors acting simultaneously at a point and represented both in magnitude and direction by two adjacent sides OA and OD of a parallelogram OABD as shown in figure.

Let θ be the angle between P and Q and R be the resultant vector. Then, according to parallelogram law of vector addition, diagonal OB represents the resultant of P and Q.

Answer:

Q.1.)Define the composition of state parallelogram law of force.

Answer:-The law of parallelogram of forces states that if two vectors acting on a particle at the same time be represented in magnitude and direction by the two adjacent sides of a parallelogram drawn from a point their resultant vector is represented in magnitude and direction by the diagonal of the parallelogram drawn from the same point.

Resultant force:- F = 3 N + 2 N = 5 N to the right. The resultant force is 5 N to the right. Two forces that act in opposite directions produce a resultant force that is smaller than either individual force. To find the resultant force subtract the magnitude of the smaller force from the magnitude of the larger force.
