The oxygen comes in through the different parts of respiratory system and goes to the alveolus. The thin covering of alveolus gives the oxygen into the capillaries. There they combine with hemoglobin to form oxyhaemoglobin. The blood takes the oxygen to the cell where internal respiration takes place and Carbon dioxide with energy are released. The carbon dioxide is then carried back to the alveolus. The alveolus takes the carbon dioxide and then it is forced out of the body.
