1. Seismology is the study of earthquakes and seismic waves that move through and around the earth. A seismologist is a scientist who studies earthquakes and seismic waves. What Are Seismic Waves? Seismic waves are the waves of energy caused by the sudden breaking of rock within the earth or an explosion.

2. Mechanical weathering is the process of breaking big rocks into little ones. This process usually happens near the surface of the planet. Temperature also affects the land. The cool nights and hot days always cause things to expand and contract. That movement can cause rocks to crack and break apart.

3. External forces are forces caused by external agent outside of the system. Internal forces are forces exchanged by the objects in the system. To determine what part should be considered external and internal, mechanical system should be clearly defined.

4. A tsunami is a series of waves in a water body caused by the displacement of a large volume of water, generally in an ocean or a large lake. Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other underwater explosions above or below water all have the potential to generate a tsunami

5. Continental Glacier is in Bridger-Teton and Shoshone National Forests, in the U.S. state of Wyoming and straddles the Continental Divide in the northern Wind River Range.

6. The Spring Framework is an application framework and inversion of control container for the Java platform. The framework's core features can be used by any Java application, but there are extensions for building web applications on top of the Java EE platform

1) Seismology - The branch of science concerned with earthquakes and related phenomena is known as Seismology.

2) Mechanical weathering - Mechanical weathering, also called physical weathering and disaggregation, causes rocks to crumble. Water, in either liquid or solid form, is often a key agent of mechanical weathering. For instance, liquid water can seep into cracks and crevices in rock. If temperatures drop low enough, the water will freeze.

3) External force - External forces are forces resulting from the interaction between human body and its environment. External forces can be divided into contact forces and non-contact forces. Most forces that biomechanics works with are contact forces. Contact forces are forces that act at the point of contact between two objects.

4) Tsunami - A tsunami is a series of waves caused by earthquakes or undersea volcanic eruptions. But as the waves travel inland, they build up to higher and higher heights as the depth of the ocean decreases. The speed of tsunami waves depends on ocean depth rather than the distance from the source of the wave.

5) Continental Glacier - Continental glaciers are continuous masses of ice that are much larger than alpine glaciers. Small continental glaciers are called ice fields. Big continental glaciers are called ice sheets. Greenland and Antarctica are almost entirely covered with ice sheets that are up to 3500 m (11 500 ft) thick.

6) Spring - move or jump suddenly or rapidly upwards or forwards.
