The definition of the terms -
- Sticky keys : These are used by people with physical disabilities and it allows the user to press and release modifier keys like shift, ctrl, alt and windows. The keys remain pressed till any other key is pressed.
- Filter Keys : It instructs the keyboard to ignore repeated keystrokes and is used by people with physical disabilities.
- Toggle Keys : It is used by people with vision and cognitive disabilities. These keys have to states on an off. The example for such keys are capslock, num lock and scroll lock.
- Sound Sentry : It is used by people having auditory impairments. It generates visual impact or warning such as blinking title bar or flashing borders.
- Mouse Keys : This is an accessibility option which helps in controlling mouse pointer with the help of numeric keypad instead of a mouse.
- Serial Keys : It is used by people having motor impairment. They are special devices such as sip, puff and breath switches to provide input to the computer system through serial ports.
