  • In a physical change the appearance or form of the matter changes but the kind of matter in the substance does not.

  • However in a chemical change, the kind of matter changes and at least one new substance with new properties is formed.

  • Reversible changes is made physically and can be undone or reversed.

  • Irreversible changes is made chemically and can't be reversed into its original states.

Answer:

(a) Physical changes only change the appearance of a substance, not its chemical composition. Chemical changes cause a substance to change into an entirely substance with a new chemical formula. Chemical changes are also known as chemical reactions.

(b)Reversible changes - where a change is made physically and can be undone or reversed. For example: freezing water to make ice. Irreversible changes - where the change is made chemically and can't be reversed into its original states. For example: baking a cake.
