Answers
An urban agglomeration is a continuous urban spread constituting a town and its adjoining outgrowths, or two or more physically contiguous towns together with or without outgrowths of such towns. An Urban Agglomeration must consist of at least a statutory town(all places with a municipality, corporation, cantonment board or notified town area committee, etc.) and its total population (i.e. all the constituents put together) should not be less than 20,000 as per the previous Census.
A mega city is a very large city, typically with a population in excess of 10 million people. Precise definitions vary: the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs in its 2014 "World Urbanization Prospects" report counted urban agglomerations having over 10 million inhabitants.
