Answer:

Soil erosion:

Soil erosion is the displacement of the upper layer of soil, it is one form of soil degradation. This natural process is caused by the dynamic activity of erosive agents, that is, water, ice, snow, air, plants, animals, and humans.

Soil conservation:

Soil conservation is the prevention of loss of the top most layer of the soil from erosion.

Gullies:

Gully is a landform created by running water, eroding sharply into soil, typically on a hillside.

Bad land:

Badlands are a type of dry terrain where softer sedimentary rocks and clay-rich soils have been extensively eroded by wind and water.

Sheet erosion:

Sheet erosion or sheet wash is the even erosion of substrate along a wide area.

Contour ploughing:

Contour bunding or contour farming or Contour ploughing is the farming practice of plowing and/or planting across a slope following its elevation contour lines.

Strip cropping:

Cultivation in which different crops are sown in alternate strips to prevent soil erosion.

Shelter belts:

Shelterbelts are vegetative barriers that are designed to reduce wind speed and provide sheltered areas on the leeward (the side away from the wind) and windward (the side toward the wind) sides of the shelterbelt.
