Logarithmic functions are the inverses of exponential functions. The inverse of the exponential function y = ax is x = ay. The logarithmic function y = logax is defined to be equivalent to the exponential equation x = ay. ... It is called the logarithmic funca function whose value is a constant raised to the power of the argument, especially the function where the constant is

1. ..exponential function...

when Y = logx. then

X=a^y

these are called exponential

example Y =15^x ..

2.. logarithmic....

when Y is not the function of X, but function of Logx... example... Y =log(3x. squre + 2x +5)
