(1) Concave Mirror-

A concave mirror, also known as a converging mirror, is a mirror with a reflecting surface that bulges inward. Concave mirrors reflect light inward to one focal point. They are often used to focus light towards that point.

(2) Convex Mirror-A convex mirror, diverging mirror, or fish eye mirror is a curved mirror in which the reflective surface bulges toward the light source. Convex mirrors reflect light outwards, therefore they are not used to focus light. ... The image is smaller than the object, but gets larger as the object approaches the mirror.

(3) Principal Axis- a line passing through the center of the surface of a lens or spherical mirror and through the centers of curvature of all segments of the lens or mirror.

(4) Focus-a point at which rays (as of light, heat, or sound) meet after being reflected or bent : the point at which an image is formed. 2 : the distance from a lens or mirror to a focus.

(5)Pole- Pole is the mid point of a spherical mirror.

(6) Apparatus-a group or combination of instruments, machinery, tools, materials, etc., having a particular function or intended for a specific use: Our town has excellent fire-fighting apparatus. any complex instrument or mechanism for a particular purpose.

(7)Focal length- the distance between the centre of a mirror or a lens band its focus

(8)Centre of Curvature- the centre of a circle which passes through a curve at a given point and has the same tangent and curvature at that point.
