Hey mate...!!!

a)Plasmolysis is the process in which cells lose water in a hypertonic solution. The reverse process, deplasmolysis or cytolysis, can occur if the cell is in a hypotonic solution resulting in a lower external osmotic pressure and a net flow of water into the cell.

b)A process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one is called Osmosis.

c)Membrane biogenesis is the synthesis and production of specific “molecular components” and their assembly into “cellular membranes”. This is a continuous process in which cells are involved in throughout their existence.

d)The taking in of matter by a living cell by invagination of its membrane to form a vacuole is Called Endocytosis.

e)Swelling of the cytoplasm of a plasmolyzed cell : reversal of plasmolysis is called deplasmolysis.

Answer:

a) contraction of the protoplast of a plant cell as a result of loss of water from the cell.

b) a process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one.

c) Membrane biogenesis is the process which involves the synthesis of cell membrane with the help of proteins and lipids. Endoplasmic reticulum is responsible for the synthesis of these membranes.

d) Endocytosis is a cellular process in which substances are brought into the cell. The material to be internalized is surrounded by an area of cell membrane, which then buds off inside the cell to form a vesicle containing the ingested material. Endocytosis includes pinocytosis and phagocytosis.

e) Plasmolysis is the process in which cells lose water in a hypertonic solution. The reverse process, deplasmolysis or cytolysis, can occur if the cell is in a hypotonic solution resulting in a lower external osmotic pressure and a net flow of water into the cell.
