Explanation:

Water pollution

Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, usually as a result of human activities. Water bodies include for example lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater. Water pollution results when contaminants are introduced into the natural environment.

Point source

A point source is a single identifiable localised source of something. A point source has negligible extent, distinguishing it from other source geometries. Sources are called point sources because in mathematical modeling, these sources can usually be approximated as a mathematical point to simplify analysis.

Nonpoint

Nonpoint source pollution is pollution resulting from many diffuse sources, in direct contrast to point source pollution which results from a single source.

Answer:-

a. Water Pollution:- For humans drinking water is a very essential. But now days due to sewage and some other human works water bodies are polluted and are affected very badly. Cholera and typhoid fever are the some disease which spread due to drinking of impure water. We should use bleaching powder in our drinking water tanks because it kills germs present in the water.

b. Point Source:- When polluted place or the polluted source is recognised then that is known as point source. Industrial discharge pipes or municipal are the some examples of point source.

c. Non-point source:- Those pollution of which source is not identified or easily cannot be identified are known as non-point source. Storm water drainage which comes lawns or streets, agriculture run off from animals or crop lands.

Explaination:-

Here are some pollutants with their sources:-

(i) Plant nutrients - Chemical fertilizers

(ii) Pesticides - Chemicals used for killing insects, fungi and weeds

(iii) Microorganisms - Domestic sewage

(iv) Toxic heavy metals - From chemical factories and industries.
