•Sleeping sickness -: It is a disease caused by parasitic protozoans which is caused by the bite of tsetse fly.

•Pathogens -: Disease causing microorganisms is called pathogens.

•Food preservative -: A food preservative is substance or chemicals which is used to prevent decomposition by the microbial growth. e.g. Benzoates

•Antibiotics -: Antibiotics are the drugs or biochemicals which are used to kill bacteria and protect our body from infections. e.g. penicillins.
