Explanation:

  1. The ray of light which falls on the surface from the source of light is called incident ray
  2. The ray which is reflected by the surface is called reflected ray.
  3. ---
  4. Angle between normal and incident ray is called angle of incidence
  5. The angle between normal and reflected ray is called angle of reflection.

Always,

Angle of incidence = Angle of reflection.

✬ ANSWER ✬

1.) Incident ray :- The ray of light which fall on the mirror is called the incident ray.

2.) Reflected ray :- The ray which bounces off the surface of mirror after reflection is called the reflected ray.

3.) Normal at the point of incidence :- The line which is perpendicular to the reflecting surface at the point of incidence is called the normal or normal at the point of incidence.

4.) Angle of incidence :- The angle made by incident ray with the normal at the point of incidence is known as the angle of incidence.

5.) Angle of reflection :- The angle made by the reflected ray with the normal at the point of reflection is known as the angle of reflection.

  • The bouncing back of light from a surface is called reflection.

  • Angle of incidence will be always equal to the angle of reflection.

  • Incident , reflected ray and the normal lie on the same line.

  • Above two points are also known as Laws of reflection.
