  • lemma - a heading indicating the subject or argument of a literary composition or annotation.
  • Algorithm-a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem-solving operations, especially by a computer.
  • Coprime number-So, 11 and 17 are coprime numbers. Factors of 15 are 1, 3, 5 and 15. Factors of 18 are 1, 2, 3, 6, 9 and 18. Common factors of 15 and 18 are 1 and 3. Since the given set of numbers have more than one factor as 3 other than factor as 1.
  • real number-real numbers can be defined as the union of both the rational and irrational numbers. They can be both positive or negative and are denoted by the symbol “R”. All the natural numbers, decimals and fractions come under this category. See the figure, given below, which shows the classification of real numerals.
  • irrational number-Any real number is said to be an irrational number if the number cannot be expressed in the form of a fraction where the denominator is not equal to zero. Mathematically, the definition of the irrational number is given as a number that cannot be expressed in the form of a/b where a and b are coprime and b is not equal to zero.
