Preamble- The Preamble is an introductory statement in a Constitution which states the reasons and the guiding values of the Constitution. Significance of the Preamble: The terms sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic, republic in the Preamble suggests the nature of the state.
Constitution- The constitution of a country is a set of written rules that are accepted by all people living together in a country. Constitution is the supreme law that determines the relationship among people living in a territory (called citizens) and also the relationship between t7he people and government.
Securalism- Secularism does not confer any privilege or favour on any particular religion. All religions are treated ' equally by the law. It is based on the idea that the state is concerned only with relations among human beings and not with the relations between human beings and God.
Sovereign- It means people have the supreme right to take decisions on internal as well as external matters. No external power can dictate the government of India.
Socialist- A socialist is someone who supports the political philosophy of socialism, which is a governmental system that advocates community ownership and control of all lands and businesses rather than individual ownership.
Federation- A federation is a union of a number of self-governing states or regions, which are joined together under a central government. ... Other examples of federal states are Austria, Belgium (since 1993), Canada, Germany, Russia and Switzerland.
Welfare state- Welfare State is a system under which the state undertakes to protect the health and well being of its citizens through various means including legislation.
Union list- The Union List or List-I is a list of 97 numbered items (after 101st Constitutional amendment act 2016, entry 92 and 92c removed) (the last item is numbered 97) given in Seventh Schedule in the Constitution of India on which Parliament has exclusive power to legislate.
State list- State list consists of the subjects that are handled and seen by the state government. it includes forest , banking, transportation, etc. concurrent list consists of the subjects that are seen and controlled by both state and union government.
Concurrent list- The Concurrent List contains subjects of common interest to both the Union as well as the States. These include education, forest, trade unions, marriage, adoption, and succession. Both, the Central and the state governments can make laws in the Concurrent List.
