Answer:

(i) Oligosaccharides

  • Carbohydrates that yield two to ten monosaccharide units, on hydrolysis, are called oligosaccharides.
  • Example - Sucrose or any other.

(ii) Denaturation of protein

  • When a protein in its native form, is subjected to physical change like change in temperature or chemical change like change in pH, the hydrogen bonds are disturbed. Due to this, globules unfold and helix get uncoiled and protein loses its biological activity.
  • Example - Boiling of egg.

(iii) Vitamins

  • Organic compounds required in the diet in small amounts to perform specific biological functions for normal maintenance of optimum growth and health of the organism.
  • Example - Vitamin A

Answer:

1.Oligosaccharides:

=> A carbohydrate whose molecules are composed of a relatively small number of monosaccharide units

2. Denaturation of protein

=> Denaturation is the process in whuch proteins and nucleic acids lose their quarternary structure, tertiary structure and secondary structure whuch is present in tgeir native state.

3. Vitamins

=>A vitamin is a chemical compound that is needed in small amounts for the human body to work correctly.

Hope this helps.
