1) Reflection of light
2) Refraction of light
3) Rarefaction of light
4) Diffraction of light
Answers
........hy my friend your require is given below.......
Reflection of light.
when light rays fall on the surface of an object then these rays return back by a process called reflection.
examples..
1). a best example of reflection of light is the bouncing back of light from a shiny surface.
2). images on mirror etc
Refraction of light..
the change in direction of wave passing from one medium to another or from gradual change in the medium is called refraction.
The refraction of light when it passes from a fast medium to a slow medium bends the light ray toward the normal to the boundary between the two media.
Examples..
1). An example of refraction is a bending of the sun's rays as they enter raindrops, forming a rainbow.
2). a prism is also an example of refraction.
Rarefaction of Light.
the bending of a light or sound wave, or the way the light bends when entering the eye to form an image on the retina is called Rarefaction of light.
Examples..
the forming of rainbow when sunlight enters in the raindrop.
Diffraction of light..
the bending of waves around the corners of an obstacle or through an aperture into the region of geometrical shadow of the obstacle/aperture is called Diffraction of light.
Example..
the closely spaced tracks on a CD or DVD act as a diffraction grating to form the familiar rainbow pattern we see when looking at a disk.
A shadow of a solid object, using light from a compact source, shows small fringes near its edges.
hope it helps u my dear
The turning or bending of any wave, such as a light or sound wave, when it passes from one medium into another of different density. The ability of the eye to bend light so that an image is focused on the retina.
